THE ORIGIN STORY

Where it really started.

Long before Microsoft, before Univision, before any job title — there was a family of genuinely talented people who never quite had the business structure to match their gifts. That gap is the reason LeanPivot exists.

Brandon’s grandfather bought and rented buildings, purchased a bus to transport tenants to worksites, and worked as a carpenter. His uncles were carpenters too. His mother was an artist, a seamstress, a hair stylist, a photographer, and eventually a digital creator — an entire creative and entrepreneurial range contained in one person. The talent in that family was undeniable.

The pattern he noticed early

Talent was never the missing ingredient. What was missing was the business acumen to step out of single-person ventures — the structure, the process, the framework to translate skilled work into something that could grow, sustain itself, and compound over time. Solo ventures, no matter how skilled, rarely lead to great results on their own.

That observation shaped him early. He started studying business in high school — not because entrepreneurship was unfamiliar, but because he’d already seen firsthand what happened when it went unstructured. He wanted to understand what the people he admired most were missing, and whether there was a way to close that gap.

When he thinks about LeanPivot today, he still thinks about that pattern: talented people — real, capable, hardworking people — without a structured way to build the business and the service around their skills. That’s always in the back of his mind. That’s who LeanPivot is for.

Grandfather: landlord, carpenter, transportation entrepreneur

Uncles: skilled carpenters and tradespeople

Mother: artist, seamstress, hair stylist, photographer, digital creator

Brandon: started studying business in high school to understand the missing piece

THE CAREER

A career built on adaptation and innovation.

From a high school computer business through seven years at Microsoft, Univision, and enterprise AI systems — every chapter left a mark on the methodology.

First Business (1997–1999)

Right out of high school, Brandon was the first (and only) employee of a small computer business started by two friends. One co-founder's father — a Wharton alum and founder in his own right — would sit his son down and teach him how business actually worked. The lessons weren't meant for Brandon, but they stuck with him for decades and quietly shaped how he thinks about building.

Early lessons gathered by osmosis
Early Roots (1999–2002)

Late-90s web development at the American Association for Cancer Research, then streaming media work at Yupi.com (Miami Beach), then web/Flash development at This.com and Daimon Design. Early exposure to Linux and full-stack tooling that would shape his engineering mindset for two decades.

Full-stack engineering foundation
Microsoft (2003–2010)

Seven years marketing to developers and IT professionals in Latin America — from Assistant to Regional Developer Program Manager through Digital Marketing Strategist (SMS&P) LATAM. First formal exposure to Agile and Lean methodologies through the user-group content ecosystem.

Agile & Lean methodology roots
Univision & Catalina (2012–2020)

Senior Manager — Search, Analytics & Social Media at Univision Communications (5+ years), then Head of Marketing, Growth & Acquisition at Catalina Mobile Payments. Helped grow the Univision Prepaid Mastercard, the pharmacy discount card, and Aprender Inglés — serving underrepresented Hispanic-market audiences.

Digital growth & analytics leadership
Director of Data Analytics, Cascade FT (2020–2021)

Built the analytics consulting practice for Cascade Financial Technology Corp’s clients from the ground up. Drove the Data Analytics Platform, Data Strategy, and Data Services across multiple card-program marketing initiatives. Honed a predictive-analytics mindset in a high-stakes fintech environment.

Analytics consulting practice builder
Gen AI Engineer · SGWS (2021–2026)

Founding member of the AI/ML team at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, the world’s leading wine and spirits distributor. Co-architected “Sippy,” SGWS’s first AI chatbot, on a multi-agent framework (Planner, Analysis, Visualization). Built the SGEYE Menu OCR pipeline using AWS Textract + LLMs across a 600k+ item catalog — improving accuracy 12–15% for high-value items.

Production multi-agent AI systems
Aday Interactive, Inc. (2002–present)

Founded in 2002, Aday Interactive has never been one thing — and that’s by design. It started as a Miami-based digital practice, taking on web development and consulting work alongside Brandon’s W2 career.

Over the years it became something different: a legal and operational umbrella for a range of entrepreneurial ventures he and his wife pursued together.

Each venture was real, each took real work — and each reinforced the same lesson: talented people need structure to match their gifts.

Returning to roots

For the first time in years, Aday Interactive is coming back to its original identity — a full-service digital agency, now built for the AI era.

adayinteractive.com is being rebuilt as a full-service, AI-powered agency: CRM, automation, lead systems, custom web and SaaS development, with AI at the center of everything.

Same roots. Fully upgraded.

Full-circle: marketer, analyst, engineer, founder.

From late-90s Linux and ISP days, through marketing and analytics leadership, to architecting multi-agent AI systems in production — and finally back to full-stack development building LeanPivot. Every chapter shows up in the methodology.

THE METHODOLOGY

Where Lean Startup clicked — and never let go.

Brandon first met Agile and Lean inside Microsoft’s developer-content ecosystem in the early 2000s. Years later, when the data and analytics work at Univision and Catalina demanded real validation cycles — and the AI/ML R&D work at SGWS demanded a framework for rapid POC development (he blended CRISP-DM with Agile sprints to build Sippy) — the same principles he’d been quietly absorbing for two decades fit together as one playbook: test, learn, iterate; short cycles of feedback; validate assumptions early; build with the customer at the center.

Test & Learn
  • Build-Measure-Learn over analysis paralysis
  • Short feedback cycles, not long planning phases
  • Hypothesis-driven decision making
Validate First
  • Customer at the center of every decision
  • Smoke tests before full builds
  • Pivot or persevere with data, not ego
Operating System
  • Lean thinking transcends methodology
  • Applied across marketing, AI R&D, and product
  • LeanPivot operationalizes it as a daily AI coach

LeanPivot exists to give founders what Brandon had to piece together over two decades: a clear path, a structured process (thanks to Lean Startup thinking), tools that reduce uncertainty, and guidance that adapts to every stage of building.

It’s a platform for solopreneurs, creators, displaced workers, early founders — and for the talented, hardworking people Brandon grew up watching who had every skill in the world, but never the structured framework to build something lasting around it.

I wanted a business coach. So I built one.
